Overview & Highlights

Welcome to La Cenata, a hidden gem located on Avenida de la Campiña in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. This vibrant Mexican restaurant has quickly gained recognition for its authentic flavors, inviting ambiance, and attentive service. With a phone number to reach them at +52 33 2180 6290, they’re always ready to welcome you for a delightful experience.

What sets La Cenata apart is its dedication to traditional Mexican cuisine. Diners are consistently raving about the food. For instance, Ricardo Nuño recommends the lonche bañado, celebrated for its rich chipotle sauce that adds an aromatic kick to each bite. It’s experiences like these that have the locals returning for more.

Another highlight from the menu is the pata deshuesada toast, which Suni Kim describes as super delicious, though a tad greasy—an indulgence that is hard to resist. Here, the flavors are as vibrant as the restaurant itself, making every meal not just food, but a celebration of culture.

The flautas and enchiladas come highly recommended by Laura Flores, who praises the efficiency and kindness of the staff. Each dish is meticulously crafted, made to order, ensuring that every plate meets your expectations in taste and creativity.

While there may be the occasional mix-up in orders, as noted by Shoeb Shaikh, the overall experience is delightful. The bustling atmosphere and the presence of happy diners hint at the quality of both food and service. Alejandro Guevara’s favorite, the lonche Gemma, is another testament to the restaurant’s delicious offerings—all available at wallet-friendly prices.

In essence, La Cenata is more than just a place to eat; it’s a testament to what traditional Mexican food should be. It's a space where flavors meet warmth and community spirit. If you’re in the Zapopan area, treat yourself to a dining experience that embraces the heart of Mexican cuisine.

Recomiendo principalmente el lonche bañado, está muy rica la salsa de chipotle. El servicio también fue muy bueno, buena atención y excelente actitud.

Its a nice place to have traditional food for lunch & dinner. There people always in the restaurant. Food is very good, sometimes oily but good indeed. Servers sometimes mix up the orders but not a major problem. All food is made to order.

The food is super delicious, a bit too greasy but tastes good, highly recommend the "pata deshuesada" toast
